Room to think
One ingredient for a contemplative space is the relationship between natural and built space. This is meant to enhance the connection between the human and the cosmos by framing natural space with built space.
The design with the mirror funnel creates a reflection of the sky. When you look up at it from inside the building, you will see a little part of the sky through the funnel, framed by the reflection of the whole sky. These pictures show different skies and how the mirror reflects more of the sky than you see through the opening. In the evening for example, the sky you see through the opening may be blue, but it is framed with a pink or orange sunset sky.
