The project is placed in a specific urban typology. In the case of Czech Republic, the typology is called ‘socmodernistic’ panel housing estates, built mostly in 1960s – 1980s over the whole country.
Sumava housing estate is quite unique for its placement. It is not situated in the suburb area, but rather blurring into the cityscape structure.
