Negative / Positive

Turning the negative cast into the result instead of favouring the positive.

These tests focus on ”easy release”, how can you construct an object that houses a complex interior room but is only casted in one pour?

Plaster – Balloon / Some control – Not total control

The balloon beforehand got a ”waist” to compress the inner room. In this case the inner positive volume was very easy to remove, it just fell out after being deflated. This test was the first in a series of experiments connected to the easy removal of the positive.

Plaster – Balloon / Some control – Not total control

This balloon had already a distinct shape which lead to inner pillars and a curved inner room. In this case the object itself works as a section cut. With this type of castings, rooms emerge out of nothing and I see a lot of potential in this process. Just needs a bit of refinement.
