Matryoshka Babushka
Passages, that is mainly what these installation apparatuses are intended to be, formulated in a west wing (W) and an east wing (E). Placed as juxtapositions of two different ways of orientation. Past(E) and future(W), pattern recognition(E) and pattern anticipation(W), a way forward based on repetition and experience (E) or a way forward based on anticipation and the imagined (W). The layout of the two structures are losely based on two different pieces of historical architecture of passages, that utilizes more or less of the different modes of orientations. (East) a colonade forest from the spaces of passage of the ancient egyptian temples, the (West) of the Poet’s Hermitage, Shisen-Do, Japan.
