CONCEPT MODEL
The concept model illustrates the heart of Stacken. An important aspect of collective living is the act of preparing and eating food together. Therefore, the concept model is in the shape of a dining table. In Stacken, this activity has been lost as the years have gone by. In the eyes of an outsider, the communal aspect seems to be prominent only in the stairwell – the very heart of the building. The concept model reflects this with empty chairs, and the colours, hexagonal shape and load bearing structure of the stairwell. On the empty top of the table, the memories of the community that once was still lives in pictures for Stacken’s first years.
