”Architecture Sculptures”
“Architecture Sculptures” are something that absolutely fascinates me, but I I’m not particularly fond of the expression. For me almost all types of sculptures have clear connection to architecture. Just take scale for an example, sculptures always relate to the human body. If we’re not around it, it is surrounding us. Sculptures together with us ether are inside a space or creates a space for us.
We constantly analyse, especially as students of architecture. When I see a project, the first thing that comes to mind is how the person has produced what I am looking at. How have they created this? Trying to understand their process. Sometimes it’s clear and other times it’s very hard to figure out. Usually I find it more interesting when I don’t understand or there are more then one solution. But sometimes the most striking ones are made by the clearest methods. But why do we have such an urge to understand and analyse? Can’t some things just be?
That’s why this cast just is what it is.
