The work resulted in 6 design iteration targeting different possibilities when using the digital modeling and fabrication tools at hand at Chalmers. All of the iterations were based on the same base geometry, a 3d-scanned ornament found in central Gothenburg. A part of this scan was cut out and manipulated using different digital workflows to create and explore different ornamental effects. The laser cutter and CNC-mill were used to translate the digital models into physical representations in plywood.
