Introduction

A place of interest.

As garden lovers we immediately fell in love with Trädgårdsföreningen walking through this magnificent 19th century park. Built in 1842 it became one of the first public parks in Sweden.

The park was founded from the dream of creating a community for garden enthusiasts, in a time when the interest in both floriculture and horticulture was flourishing around Europe.

Today this is one of Europe’s most well-preserved public parks from the middle of the 19th century. At the same time it’s one of the most important parks in the urban environment of central Gothenburg. Trädgårdsföreningen is an important part of Swedish park history.

With a collection of buildings listed as cultural heritage we decided to spend some time here to see what could be found in this environment with buildings of high value.

Could this help us create identity for an addition at site?
